January 2018 Grant Votes

By Coke
March 5, 2018

The Grants Committee has concluded the voting of the January 2018 round.
There were six proposals in this round.
Curating and improving Perl6 documentation (5,000 USD)
Voting results: Approved and funded: 5 yes, 1 abstention, 1 no with a score of 15 (1 vote of 4, 3 votes of 3, 1 vote of 2)
Some voters expressed concern about the comments/feedback posted on the grant. It is our hope that the requestor will work closely with the community when implementing this grant.
Future grants requestors should consider splitting PR and documentation work.
Perl Camp in Democratic Republic of Congo (4,000 USD)
Voting results: Rejected: 0 yes, 7 no
This proposal was rejected primarily due to the timing, but several members expressed a secondary concern that this was a proposal for an event. The main comment on the proposal suggests that event proposals may have better luck working with the events committee.
Perl-Based CloudForFree.org Platform (1,500 USD)
Voting results: Rejected: 0 yes, 7 no
No specific feedback is available.
OS Installation Packages for RPerl Compiler (800 USD)
Voting results: Rejected: 1 yes, 6 no

List Operators In RPerl Compiler (800 USD)

MySQL Support In RPerl Compiler (650 USD)
