Matthew Wilson (diakopter) started this implementation, because he wanted speed. It uses the STD.pm as parser and produces a JSON-like structure that will be executed by V8 in a browser. Currently a second backend is in development, written in C# and targeting Mono and .NET.

It's name is an anagram of "Perl six".
