The Grants Committee was formed in July 2003 to oversee the allocation of grant funding within the Perl Foundation. The individuals chosen to be committee members represent a wide range of positions in the Perl community, including programmers in charge of the development of Perl.

The Grants Committee open a call for grant proposals quarterly. Usually the call for grant proposals period is January, April, July and September. Votation takes place in the following month, and results published by the end of this same month. Nevertheless you can send grant requests at any time. It will stay in hold until the next votation. In The Perl Foundation blog a call for grant proposals is published quaterly with detailed dates and instructions.
