Conference Season

I used to think that there was a conference season and that it took place in the summer. Now in the Perl world we have so many grass-root events taking place that the whole year is our conference season.

So far this year we have already had Perl Oasis in Orlando, Frozen Perl in Minneapolis, the Bulgarian Perl Workshop, the German Perl Workshop, and the Belgian Perl Workshop.

Today the Dutch Perl Workshop is taking place in Arnhem and tomorrow the Ukrainian Perl Workshop, "Perl Mova" takes place in Kiev.

Towards the end of the month the Birmingham Perl Mongers are hosting a 3-day QA Hackathon. This is a follow-up to the successful QA Hackathon that took place in Oslo last year. This isn't a conference, in the traditional sense, but a place for people involved in QA, testing, packaging, and CPAN to get together and code together.

All this in just three months. It's going to be a fantastic year for Perl conferences.
