The dashboard offers a taste of what's going on in the workspace, and invites you to dig deeper. It also acts as a hub to navigate between all your workspaces. The Home link at the top left of the screen will normally bring you to the dashboard:
Any workspace administrator can change the default for the "Home" link to take users to a page in the workspace, instead of the dashboard. Go to Settings/This Workspace/Workspace Home Link and choose "Central Page".
The dashboard is made up of several sections, each of which is explained below.
Announcements and Links is a page that every member of the workspace will see on their Dashboard. Here you can post announcements, leave short notes, and link to useful resources. To edit Announcements and Links, click the Edit link that appears in the corner.
Your Notepad is a page that holds notes for you. You can put links here to pages you want to remember, or any other information you want to keep extra handy. Other participants can see it, too, and can edit it to leave you notes. To edit your notepad, click the Edit link that appears in the corner. The first time you edit your notepad, you will be directed to the following screen, where you can type a name for your notepad page into the box:
After saving the name, return to the dashboard by clicking the Home link.
This section lists pages that have recently changed in the current workspace. Clicking on any title takes you to the page itself.
By default, the four most recent items are listed here. You can change that number by going to Settings > What's New.
To get an expanded view of what's new in the workspace, click the header, "What's new in..." or the icon next to it.
This section lists the first few pages in your personal watchlist that have been edited most recently. You can see all of the pages in your watchlist by clicking the header, "Your watchlist". For more information about how to use your watchlist to keep track of pages you are interested in, see watchlist.
This section lists up to ten of your most recently visited workspaces, along with the number of changes that have been made in each workspace. Click on a workspace name to get to the home page in this workspace. Click the number of changes to go to the what's new page for this workspace.
Access the full list of your workspaces by clicking the header, "Your workspaces" or the icon next to it.
This button lets you create a new page in the current workspace. Learn more about creating new pages at Changing the workspace (Create a new page).
