Formerly known as MiniPerl 6. It's a small subset of Perl 6, helping to bootstrap other high level languages (<a href="http://www.perlfoundation.org/perl6/index.cgi?HLL" title="[click to create page]" class="incipient">HLL</a>), pretty much like <a href="http://www.perlfoundation.org/perl6/index.cgi?nqp" title="(39 months)  Not Quite Perl (NQP) is a subset of Perl 6, clearly not intended as a Perl 6 implementation [Implem...">NQP</a>.
