Additions, Changes, and Fixes

This page details the major feature additions and changes in Socialtext 1.6.5 from the previous version, Socialtext 1.6. The Socialtext Documentation page describes these new features in detail.

Changes

• We have upgraded our hardware and software to provide better performance, which you will experience as faster page views and saves. We will continue to work on improving performance over time.

Additions

We've added features that have been requested by a number of customers to improve productivity with more people and more information.

• Section links. You can now link to particular sections within a page.
• Attach multiple files in one step. You can attach multiple files at once, by uploading a compressed "zip" archive.
• Workspace usage reports. You will receive weekly reports showing the level of reading and writing activity in your workspace.
• Include recent changes. You can include on a page a list of recent changes from another workspace.
• Link text for wiki links. The text displayed for a wiki link can be different from the target page name.

Bug fixes

• The Backlinks sidebax now displays separately, resulting in faster initial page display.
• The listing of all users in an Eventspace displays a count of anonymous users.
